
Colleen Mae Ballinger (born on November 21, 1986) is an American comedian, YouTuber, actress, singer , and writer. Her Internet character Miranda Sings is her most famous. She has made videos featuring her character on YouTube and has performed her one-woman comedy show in theatres all over the world. In 2016 she also co-created and appeared in Haters Back Off, a Netflix original series about the character. Ballinger created the jolly eccentric, egotistical and talented character to laugh at the many YouTube videos of poor singing in an attempt to make it into the showbiz. Together her YouTube channels have garnered over 5 billion viewers. Miranda Sings has over 10 million subscribers, and she has over 6 million Instagram followers. Ballinger has won an award called the Teen Choice Award for "Web Star: Comedy"and a Streamy Award as the Best Actress. 4 The Hollywood Reporter selected her as one of its Top 25 Digital Stars, and she was ranked No. Forbes magazine's top entertainment influencers list ranked her at 5 Ballinger has appeared as an actress and as a singer on theatre, television, recordings and web series. Erik Stocklin, her husband is also an actor. Ballinger initially moved to New York City to pursue opportunities to perform. She returned the state of California in 2012 only to find she was unable to expand her YouTube audience without collaborating with YouTubers in Los Angeles. In July 2015, after several years of romance, Ballinger and Joshua Evans were married in California. In separate YouTube videos, Evans & Ballinger announced their divorce plans in September 2016.
