In the first season, shippers place bids on two shipments that are listed on uShip, using the form of a reverse auction. Bids are typically accompanied by remarks about the potential risk and cost and their motives and capabilities. If the time limit expires for an auction it will be given to the lowest bidding bidder. It is at the discretion of the client however, it might be awarded to bidders with a higher average feedback rating over previous customers. For the bid with the lowest price the tie will be dissolved by the feedback rating. In season 9, shippers receive their loads through an agent for shipping. They are not aware of the bidding process. Instead the winners load the cargo and attempt to deliver it in a safe manner within the timeframe of the recipient or the client. After the load is delivered, customers leave feedback ratings. The episode ends by calculating each shipper's revenues and expenses. The amount of the bid is subtracted to calculate the total loss and profit. Sometimes, shippers arrange to haul additional loads on the same journey. This money will be added to their total. Sometimes, the shipper might not be able to finish the task due to worries about the weight/size of the load as well as road safety. Sometimes, one shipper will engage the help of another shipper to finish a task. The shippers then decide what they'll do with the profits. The progression of each shipment can be interrupted by humorous criticisms from other shippers during seasons 1-8.
