Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic as well as Ilkay Silk, a multi-talented actor director, producer, playwright, teacher, and Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton and is being the daughter of Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk. Her mother is an "English-Turkish Cypriot expat" who hails originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending performances for her performances as a kid as well as watching her mother doing her job. When she was a kid, she played in commercials for a number of companies. In the month of November, 1999 Anna made the move to Toronto in order to further develop her acting career, eventually making the move in Los Angeles, California, in the following decade. Seth Cooperman was introduced to Anna in Los Angeles at an acting workshop in 2007. They got engaged in the year 2009. Anna has since converted to Judaism at the time, and Seth Cooperman were married in December 2010 in Fredericton. In April of 2011 the couple renewed their wedding vows with an Jewish ceremony. Bo's same-sex romance with Lauren was highlighted in the top television Couples ever and named Top Television Couple in 2013 by E! Entertainment Television.
