Tiernon worked for WLWT-TV Cincinnati Ohio, as a news anchor, journalist and reporter from 2000 to 2004. Tiernon anchored the newscasts for WLWT-TV Cincinnati Ohio's 5, 6 and 11, p.m. along with veteran anchor Dave Wagner. Tiernon has been an Emmy award-winning journalist. She was involved in both major and smaller reports. Tiernon's medical reporting have earned her an award called the National Headliner Award first place for medical/science journalism.
